PG Admission Process
Selection Procedure
· 60% of total seat will be earmarked for C.U. students only. This 60% of total seat will be termed as Category – “A”.
· Rest 40% of total seat will be earmarked for both Non-C.U. and C.U. candidates. This 40% of total seat will be termed as Category – “B” (through Entrance Test).
· There will be two main merit lists in each group of applications (a) one by the existing system of marks for Category – “A” and (b) other by the marks obtained in entrance test for Category – “B”.
· Selection may be run simultaneously from two merit lists
a) by existing marks system Category – “A” and
b) by marks obtained in Entrance Test Category – “B”.
· If an applicant got chance in different positions in both Category “A” & “B”, the higher preference will be opted to the applicant.
· If an applicant got chance in same preference from both Category “A” & “B” and got admission, his/ her seat will be treated as “A” Category.
· Existing SC/ST/PWD/OBCA reservation will be followed separately in both Category – “A” 60% marks earmarked for C.U. students and Category – “B” 40% seats earmarked for both Non-C.U. & C.U. students.
· If sufficient suitable no. of SC/ST candidates are not available in Category – “A” the same may be filled up by the other Category – “B” and vice versa.
· All the rules are subject to change by the order of the appropriate authority.
· All Non-C.U. applicants have to appear in the Entrance Test and will be placed in the Merit list of Category “B” only.
· Any C.U. applicant may or may not appear in Entrance Test. Applicants already selected in 1st preference need not appear in Entrance Test.
· If any C.U. applicant does not appear in the Entrance Test then the applicant will be placed in the Merit List of Category – “A” only.
· If any C.U. applicant does appear in the Entrance Test then they will be placed in the Merit List of both Category – “A” & “B”
