Statutory Declaration under the RTI Act 2005
The statutory declaration made by Dr Soma Bhattacharya, Principal, Vivekananda College for Women in the college website: https://www.vivekanandacollegeforwomen.org/ complies Section 4(1) (b) of RTI Act 2005. The college is government-aided and affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The college has formed the RTI Cell from 25.04.2022 as per West Bengal Govt. Memo No. ED – 1964/2017 dt. 22.09.2017 and has been approved by the Governing Body in its meeting dated 26.06.2022. The College has a Governing body, IQAC and other statutory committees and cells. It adheres to the rules and regulations made by the University of Calcutta and Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. The college comes under “Grant-in-Aid” category; and accounts are audited by the empanelled government auditors. The applications under the RTI Act along with a non-judicial postal stamp for Rs. 10.00 issued in favour of Principal, Vivekananda College for Women, Kolkata may be sent to the State Public Information Officer (SPIO), Vivekananda College for Women or handed over in her office. All information about the college is open for the public and it can be obtained by the citizens of India.
